Even so, we were playing for the BE championship on the final day of the tourney. Nice to still be relevant this late.

Forgive me for my brashness and perhaps I'm a bit too emotional right now, BUT I'm tired of the "at least we got to this point" talk. It SHOULD be "WE WON!"

I'm tired of "maybe next year" too. Softball was a nice change of pace.

perhaps you should join the baseball team if you want to change the results.

I love when people criticize college kids for putting forth their best efforts. maybe you shouldn't live vicarously through them and accomplish something on your own?

Maybe I don't live vicariously through college kids. It's possible I have a life of my own and am just a fan and alumni who wants to see better end results. Could be possible. And I'm not criticizing the kids. Never specifically called anyone out. Never said Barbossa sucked or anything. Simply said the end result was frustrating and disappointing. And I know those kids would say the same thing. And I would join the team, but I just graduated (which, btw, is something I accomplished on my own), so unless I go back for graduate studies I'm stuck on the side.

I'm willing to bet there were none more disappointed than the guys playing for USF. coming on a message board and whining like a little ***** when they are the ones who put in all the hard work and traning is bush league. grow up.

I bet you couldn't play for them even if you tried otherwise you would have led us to a college world series last year, right?

I wouldn't have said it quite that way, but I couldn't agree more with Bull94.

You can bet our BaseBulls left it all on the field, and they'll never quite forget the pain of being so close, but not being able to close it out. Our pain as a fan, is nothing cmopared to their pain as a player.

I, for one, am damned proud of how far they made it this year.

Go Bulls!

We all should be proud

Wow. Chill out, man.

First of all, yea, I know they were disappointed. That's why I said it.

Second, I had my gripes but I never whined like a little whatever childish expletive you were thinking.

Third, I never came on here and said that I was a better player than any of them or that I could have made a difference. Stop attempting to put words in my mouth. That's beer league.

Now, chill out, take a pill or something, and stop getting all huffy. If we can't express our disappointment here then where can we? Reread anything you want, but once again I never put any players down. I did say the team choked, but that's because they did. They had the lead and could have won it, but they dropped it from their hands. If you disagree with me on it, well go ahead. I don't really care. I never said this team sucked or any specific player sucked. They did a good job, but they could be so much better. USF is a team that should be winning these things, not losing them. Now if you have a problem with any of this, I dunno what to tell you other than deal with it.

Really? What would you call this, then?

C-H-O-K-E F-L-O-R-I-D-A!

GO BULLS!

At least softball knows how to win.

.... and the game wasn't even over yet. Look, there are others who take these losses as a personal slap in the face like you apparently do and they too come on here and act like an ass ... I'm sure there will probably be an "Attaboy" thrown your way by one or two of them when they read that ... so there's no need to deny that you're just one of those type guys. The board is a melting pot.

I don't think there were 5 people in the whole country who would have said, at the begining of the season, that we should take the BET tourney this year. So, if that's your expectation, then you're going to be disappointed more often than not. Deal with it.

We done good. We could have done better, but we didn't. It was a damned good run in the tourney. End of story.

Some of these comments are comical. I guess most did not play sports. Good try, its ok champ, get them next year or next year or next year blah blah blah. Last time I checked these guys are getting paid with an education to perform. A little criticism never killed anybody. We should be dominating the Big East in baseball. This is not Hockey. We played one of the easiest schedules in the country is the only reason we had a winning record. We better start getting some better players(hitters) in here in a hurry or we are going to continue to be mediocre (at best). With our new facilities this is unacceptable IMO. Eddie Cardieri was fired for the same reason and had facilities that were worse than some high schools. Hope they have something up their sleeves because next year does not look to be to promising (losing our best pitchers). It is time to step it up or step it out.

I predicted a 3rd place finish at the beginning of the season. Didn't think we'd beat Florida. Didn't think we'd lose to UNF. So we pretty much finished about where I thought we would. For those that don't know, they do play baseball in the North. And sometimes they have guys drafted into MLB. We didn't have the bullets this year. Our only power hitter has been hurt the last two seasons. If there is one gripe that I have, its the lack of power on this team over the last 4 years. That is something that needs fixing. Can't lose a Preston Tucker. Pencil a guy like him into the lineup for 4 years and its a different team.
