I know what you mean, but it's probably a conference/competition issue. I don't buy the whole "I love Lexington" issue. My wife is from Lousiville and has family in Lexington. Can't imagine he'd prefer Lexington over Tampa, especially when his family is only an hour away. Frustrating to say the least. Edited by TallyBull

Too be fair the kid is coming from Deland, which I can attest is nothing like Temple Terrace.  Lexington is probably a lot closer to what Deland is like than Tampa.

I don't doubt Lexington and DeLand are more similar than say, Lexington and Tampa. But Lexington is a 12-hour drive away, whereas Tampa's a one-hour drive away. The big difference between UK and USF is conference affiliation. And Stoops. That's probably what made the difference to Kemp.
