I feel better about our back field this year. I hope he is solid academically and that he is a quick learner.

Also keep in mind, Shaw will probably see more touches this season also.

I feel better about our back field this year. I hope he is solid academically and that he is a quick learner.

The only thing that points to a great season for our RBs is if the "New Monsters on the Midfield" can free up small backs tucked in the holes behind them. We have certainly upgraded our OL the last 2 years and our running game may see the benefit of that. Shank is a brilliant O-line coach and with the talent he is being given he is gonna free some guys to do what they were born to do. This can't hurt BJ who has been clobbered in the past. When he has time he can be brilliant, it's when he gets flushed that the trouble begins.

An improved WR corps will also help the running game, as we saw glimpses of last season when everyone started getting healthy. I expect we'll have a RB high on our needs list next year, as well.

RB will be #1 need next year followed closely by QB
