Wrestlers are some of the best conditioned athletes on the globe. If this guy wants this bad enough he could be a huge get.He has the physical prowess to be powerful enough to be a Yokozuna, don't forget he was a world class freestyle wrestler before he went to Japan. If we can teach hi, to shuck a blocker, he will be a monster.

Steve jacques was an all state wrestler coming out of high school and he can't make the 2 deep on the OL.

Also, if he was a senior in high school I would give him 2 stars because that's what kids with D1 offers get at a minimum.

Also, sumo wrestlers are not among the best conditioned athletes in the world.

I think your all pretty optimistic. I love having a big body in the middle of our D line ( a la Gilbert Brown), but this guy looks crazy slow. Only a situational player IMO, but who knows?

I agree, he looks slow but hopefully that's him playing to his competition and can elevate his game under new coaches and upgraded talent around him

As most have stated this guy will not be a sack artist. But when you pair him up with Watson and the d-ends then it becomes something special. I believe this guy is a worth project because USF has done a great job with the defensive line in the past.

No Freestyle wrestlers are, sumo wrestlers aren't really even wrestlers. He was a freestyle wrestler long before he was a sumo wrestler for a year. And usually 2 stars with the pay sites means they haven't even evaluated him. Stars on the pay sites are pretty much a joke anyway. Edited by BillReef
