  1. Skip has not done his job well. Recruiting is mediocre w/ a few nice players, they team is just not prepared IMO. What really sucks is if he ever starts to be successful here, it will probably be a short stay before he moves on because of name recognition. I never thought Chris Cosh was the answer for our D, but maybe he will get us playing better on D but I have a feeling this is going to be another crappy season.
  2. Granted it's a new Commish, but didn't BYU and Air Force already say no to the Big East
  3. This is BS, I'm frustrated with our recruiting. The fricken BE needs to find some stability and respect and we need to get a recruiter that can seal the deal.
  4. So were Fran Tarkenton, Roger Staubach, and Terry Bradshaw. #justsayin It was a compliment. I always loved Grothe in the 4th quarter. I like this kid. Hopefully his skill set is like Grothe's, not just his fauxhawk.
  5. I try to be optimistic, but c'mon, we lost 7 of our last 8 games. I don't see it.
  6. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ncaaf--some-teams-can-handle-close-games--others-can-t.html;_ylt=AqnFlGF31YVHMA2PC29qgf4cvrYF Will bad times repeat? USF Overall: 5-7 Record in 'edge games': 1-5 Buzz: The only close game the Bulls won all season was the opener, when they won at Notre Dame after the Irish imploded. After that, the Bulls shot themselves in the foot time and again in crunch time. Statistically, the Bulls had the look of a seven- or eight-win team: They were 30th in total offense, 39th in total defense and had a plus-two turnover margin. But they simply couldn't make a big play when it was needed. In addition, 18 of their 24 turnovers came in the seven losses. This season: USF is going to have one of the best defenses in the Big East, and the linebacker corps should be especially strong. But there is no established feature back or go-to receiver, and QB B.J. Daniels never has shown much consistency. If the Bulls can get it together offensively and cut down on turnovers, they can win the Big East. At the least, a senior quarterback in his fourth season as the starter should mean they will be better in close games. Go Bulls!
  7. Whatever happens, happens. Boise State's image will be tarnished as soon as they lose to a Big East team or two. Than Everyone will bag on the BE just like before and Boise State will be right were the rest of the BE is now, getting little respect. I hope I'm wrong.
  8. Yeah i saw that but it looks like just about everyone flies into there so hoping to stumble across a deal I checked the prices to Sacramento this afternoon. Airfare is $365 vs $505 at this time. Between my GF and myself that would save almost $300 for us. Anyone traveling with a larger group might want to consider that as an option. It's 130 miles to Reno (pretty mountainous if I remember right) Far from perfect, but $500 is a steep price right now, especially after tickets, accommodations etc.
  9. Airfare $500 a pop to Reno. Guess I will be watching on TV...sigh.
  10. I agree it's not a given, but I would say the odds of seeing playing time at USF are much better then FSU, especially early. I would love to see AW sign us, but wouldn't blame him if he signed elsewhere. The big historical football programs would be tough to pass on. But after signing the #1 qb recruit in the country, I personally, would look for a better opportunity to start before my senior year.
  11. Hope he likes sitting behind Jameis Winston for 3 years if he wants to play for FSU. We need to get another QB, if he eventually comes back on board...great.
  12. I say we temper expectations, know our place, and go after 3/4 star athletes. We're closer to 3/4 than 2/3 IMO.
  13. Per article - "Look at Sam Cassell, he looks like an alien mated with a human and then smashed it's face in with a brick at birth." That's just F'd up. I personally wouldn't sleep with the guy, but c'mon he's not that bad looking of a guy.
  14. His dad was great. I remember listening to the radio sometime ago, Ludacris was a young rapper and must have had some type of radio show where he was like a DJ and would occasionally interview people. He said something on the lines of "Lucky to have in the studio with us this morning the ugliest muth*% fu%%@er in the NBA, Sam Cassell." It was kinda funny, but Sam was pretty pissed. With that said, it would be great to get him. Sounds like there will be some tough competition.
  15. I think your all pretty optimistic. I love having a big body in the middle of our D line ( a la Gilbert Brown), but this guy looks crazy slow. Only a situational player IMO, but who knows?
