Hell I could coach us to a 5 and 7 record for a hell of a lot less money.

As head coach, would you please not call the play where our guy fumbles on our own 20? I'll hang up and listen

Two years is not enough time to evaluated a coach.

The USF administration will not yet pay off the remainder of Skip's contract and be able to afford to then spend the bucks to hire another coach. He will be at USF for at least two more years unless, of course, he chooses to leave for greener pastures.

can't really blame 5-6 on one play. they had already taken the lead by then. do you think strong watched schiano's presser where he said his special teams guy noticed we were loading up to one side so they ran it the other way? I can't believe we give up a TD with under a minute to play in the half.

I agree. I was being an ass.

That being said, Skip should t be fired. He hasn't been great, but we have to commit.

agree he can't be fired. the honeymoon is over though. I'm not impressed. strong took over louisville same year and he has won a share of the conference title and we are 1-5. we didn't need a total rebuild. UofL did. they were 3-12 in conference before him.

And hire......??

I got the perfect guy right here......

the only knock on him was how long it took him to teach the fat guy to say the word ROW.

but just look at that discipline!

The hired the same year gimmick is subject to a bit of scrutiny. In the world of recruiting a month, especially the month before signing day is an eternity. Charlie Strong Dec 9, 2009, Skip Holtz Jan 14, 2010, signingday February 3. Plus and it's a HUGE plus, Charlie Strong recruited South Florida/Miami for UF. He had a ton of contacts and relationships in place prior to being hired. 9 Freshmen from Miami including Teddy Bridgewater. Say what you want, but that all of that makes a difference in recruting. Not making an excuse just pointing out some "slight" differences in the 2 situations. Skip HAS to improve, but he's not completely to blame.

That is a great commercial. "Such a simple word".
