Is it a reach? No. Would it be career suicide? No. Could he accomplish more at USF? Yes, easily. He is kosher though with the AD at UNC. Interested to see how this plays out. I'm on the Holtz bandwagon myself... so hoping he doesn't go.

UNC ends with Malhazan. Will happen after the last game. AU is getting stuck with Chizik and probably losing the best coaches on both sides of the ball.

Give Holtz time and get BJ Daniels replacement up and running and USF will be fine.

I'm sure North Carolina would love to hade Holtz. I'd be very surprised if he goes. There are lots of other place that would make more sense for Holtz, and he'll have those opportunities once the ship is righted here.

i'd be pissed if skip left. i'm as critical as anyone but i think he has a lot more upside than we've seen just yet. i think we get a BE championship the next year or two if he stays. our squad is still young.

He isn't going anywhere. He is making nearly $2m, and hasn't accomplished what he would like to accomplish here yet. His family ALL live in state, a reason he wanted to be here to begin with. Dad, brother, and in laws are within 2 - 3 hour drive. And you know he is a family guy. No not like the tv show.

Why exactly would Skip leave? Has family here in Florida, doesn't have family in NC. Doesn't have NCAA issues at USF, would certainly inherit them at UNC. In basketball's shadow? Absolutely. Easier path to BCS? Not really. Better money? Perhaps, but marginally. Relationship with AD is good, but doesn't override other factors. I understand why UNC might want Skip, just not as much the other way around.
