They usually pump up the upcoming games. It's when they feel the nation is starting to yawn.

The Friday night crew has always sucked!

Didn't McDonough call our win over WVU in 2007? He's a good play by play guy.

I'm assuming Tessitore and Gilmore called the game tonight? If so, then they really aren't good.

You assume correctly.

That said, it was pretty awesome to have a game on TV this week.

right before the game, did Lou predict Syracuse would win while Mark May picked USF?

that was kind of strange-- but I'm not totally sure what Lou picked as my TV cut him off...

Lou didn't really commit to either team. He made a comment about being obligated to pick USF. After that he complimented Nassib.

The commentating was great in comparison to the Rutgers fiasco. My fiance was calling the commentators out last week and she's just started to get really into football this season.

we had ESPN guys last night-- the week before against Rutgers we had the Rutgers local crew. THey were fairly extreme on the homerism-- but probably no worse than what we get when Jim Louke and Robinson are at the wheel just we are not on the favored end. Actually-- that is probably not very fair-- those guys were pretty much unabashed cheerleaders for Rutgers

I must have been watching a different game, b/c the commentators were talking about the Stanford game from start to finish and all in between. While watching my team play I could care less about a Sat. game. Talk about the game being televised. A lot is true about what was said in here....certainly if we were relevant the commentary would have been all about the game at hand.

omg! I can't believe they didn't spend every second of the broadcast drooling over two bad football teams fighting for irrelevance...
