Rizam, this appears to be the quote that Skip stated last year. Last year USF, was on the winning end of those three or so plays, this year USF has been on the losing end. The ideology of

• Doing just enough to get by
  
• Beating the crap out of lesser opponents
  
• Winning on big game a year
  

is not the formula to build a champion. It may work for Boise State but the expectations at USF are much greater.

Yeah, it shouldn't be soooooo hard and painful to win 1 BE game. All four of our games have been super painful to watch. Everything is a struggle and it shouldn't be. When our defense is doing great, our offense sucks. When our offense is scoring, our defense sucks. When both are doing good, our special teams suck. We need to be mentally tougher and more aggressive on all sides of the ball. The defense was aggressive for the first time all year, until the prevent at the end of the game.

if our DC didn't hang them out to dry we wouldn't be blaming these losses on them.

prevent with man to man on the outside is a recipe for disaster. those kids can only play what the coaches call. rush 3 or 4 and give the QB 6 or 7 seconds and somebody will come open no matter how great your corners are. it's stupid and yet Snyder calls it anytime we have them 3rd and long or late in a game with a lead. pressure the QB and force him to make a decision before anything comes open down field. it's not rocket science. funny thing is the prevent is meant to cover anything over the top and yet Snyder leaves the corners on an island with no safety help over the top.

All I want the rest of the season is to beat Miami and win 1 conference game. It feels like asking a lot at this point.

Eh... I think he will blame the humidity again... if not for the oppressive air quality in October and November we could be #1 in the country and better then both LSU and Bama combined.
