I agree that the whole situation sucks, especially since we weren't in the greatest of positions from a perception standpoint.

However, we can build this, win a couple of Big East Championships, and be in a good position when this explodes again.

If you're talking about realignment exploding again, on the field accomplishments apparently don't mean squat ... becoming an AAU member should be top priority.

I predict that some years down the road, you'll see some of these conferences split up

That didn't stop WVU from leaving.

I do agree with you about becoming an AAU member.

Then why didn't they take the BE champ of 2 out of the last 3 seasons? .... Maybe I should have been more specific.

I think WV is going to have the "grass is always greener" issues. If the BE holds them for an additional year, allowing them to start in the B12 in 2013. They B12 deal gets them 50% and 75% of revenue the first 2 years. They will have 3 years of full revenue until the B12 re-ups there contract. I have a feeling that 3 to 4 members will leave then. Pac-12 or BIG10+ may end up increasing to 14. And who knows what the SEC will do. Who knows what will happen. It'd be kind of funny if they get left out in the cold with this temper tantrum (lawsuit) they have going on.
