I'll always support my school and team....sorry.

+1

Everything I have today is from the opportunity that the University gave to me. Whether the teams are winners or win less, it will have no impact on my support for this institution. I didn't come to USF because I thought one day they will win a Big East title, I came to USF to get an education. Do I want them to win? Absolutely, but at the end of the day it's a bunch of kids playing a game for the love of it. You can argue, and correctly so, that a winning tradition in sports elevates the University, yes it does, but this University was here before Big East football, before football for that matter, and it will be here long after.

On a funny side note, I was depressed after the UConn game and my 13 says, "oh daddy, I am so sorry, are you going to be ok?" I said, "Honey, it's not that big of a deal." She says, "But grandpa is dead!" She had thought I was despondent because my father had died. Yes, it's sad that I let myself get that depressed that people confuse me being upset because of a loss with the passing of my father, but it also put it into perspective for me. No, my father hadn't died, no one did. It was just a game.

Indiana called... they'd like to show you what a crappy football program looks like... we lost two games... get off your high horse and take a Xanax.  ::)

My wife is a Hoosier. There is a bar in Riverview called Mulligans owned by a bunch of guys from Bloomington. Wanna feel better about the Bulls, go there and strike up a conversation about Hoosier sports.

I disagree on the compel me to come home and attend the game(s) statements made by some on this board.  USF is selling a product to me and many others.  They have an obligation to put as good of a product on the field as possibe.  Its' up to me to purchase that product or not.

They call me at least 12 times a year for some product (college of this/that, buy a brick, bulls club, alumni, etc.).  Has nothing to do with me being in love w/USF or not.  More about the product they produce.  At this point in the lifecycle I want a better product.  In my mind the product (wins/losses) is only part of it.  Announcing game times far enough in advance, game atmosphere, engagement of USF staff, etc. is also a big part of where/why I choose to spend my dollar.  Utimately if I don't spend my dollars on USF they lose, not me.

Go Bulls!

So what exaclty do you want a refund on?  Do you own season tickets?  Have you been to any games this year?

I think you should cut all ties ASAP.  If you feel this way don't waste your money, and more importantly your time, on the Bulls.  You wanted a refund last year after the homecoming game time was announced later than your liking.  You should have cut ties then.  Just think of all the time and money you could have saved.  Trust your gut.  Haul  @ss.  Take care.

Game time? Really?

You do realize that USF has no control over game time right? If ESPN/ABC choose to air the game they set the time and channel... and they have up till 6 days prior to the game to do so.

While you are right that USF has no control over the game time issue you do have to factor in that Bausfkid is coming from the NE and trying to schedule a flight 12 days out is fairly expensive.

I'm just as pissed as anyone on here, but after taking a deep breath, I'll still root for and support my alma mater's football team however and whenever I can.

Still planning on at least going to the Louisville game since I'll be down there for Thanksgiving.

All game times (start and finish, see ND) are subject to change.  You should always schedule to get there the day before, and leave the day after or face the chance of missing part of the game.  Flying the day of is risky with flight delays and traffic to the stadium, etc anyway.  Probably save some money by scheduling the flights over the summer when the schedules are announced and not waiting until 12 days before kickoff.

I understand that, but it may not be easy to get away the day before a game (kids, work, etc.).

I understand, but it's the nature of the beast.  TV rules the time.  Doesn't do any good to moan about it or direct the ill will towards the athletic department.

Some members of this board need to walk away.  It's not healty to continue to support a program that brings them so much grief.  If you can't roll with the waves, get off the boat.

I, as well, believe that our investment will be rewarded some day.  Can't wait, but we'll have to.  Not much choice.
