Also its confirmed that Rutgers and UConn are aggressively seeking ACC membership (i.e. begging)... ESPn Radio also announced that the SEC has leaked that WV has submitted an application in person this morning to the SEC Commish in Gainesville.

The ACC also noted that Villanova submitted an application.

Submitting an application, and "seeking membership" don't necessarily mean anything for the particular schools involved.

Nova, for instance, obviously has no real shot (one would think).

When people outside the south make such predictions, I can't help but laugh a little bit. They always underestimate the cultural aspect of the conference...it's one of the SEC's biggest commodities that they will protect. That said, I do see it as a compliment that they feel USF could compete in the SEC.

just relax -- it's one thing to speculate but it is quite another to assume that no one IN CHARGE is doing something about the situation. Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds?
