Can you say "sour grapes"?But I can't argue at all with the arguement. State schools losing millions because of this crap.

Millions of athletic department dollars that would go towards upgraded athletic facilities or coaches. We aren't talking about dollars that are going to the Science Department for a better education. Congress involvement = certain doom.they'll go in regulating college football and come out bombing Grenada. ****.The real value, from our perspective, isn't congressional involvement. It is the threat of congressional involvement. One of the many reasons I think we get a fair shake in the end.

Apply the full corporate tax and see how fast they pull back.

It is pretty awesome to witness so many fat cats blowing up so many regional traditions and rivalries and everyone just takes it.

Plus it goes into more than that such as sports medicine programs at USF. For example the work being done on heat injury to athletes at USF that is being done at only a couple colleges as well as NFL teams.

Of course none of the scenarios mention USF. We do seem to be pretty pesky and isolated down in florida where conferences already have a strong presence... Those upgrades were supposed to be paid with BigIIX TV revenues. If those vanish there is a possibility that tax payers will be on the hook for a portion of that. I hope there is a documentary on this someday and we all find out about the shady dealings.
