I feel like our defense played very timid. That first drive was more of our miss tackles and blown assignments. But I do feel that ND has the best offense we'll see all year. The Bulls offense and defense will improve as the year goes

on.

They allowed over 500 yds...That is not good!

They allowed 3 less points than the other team let us score.  That IS good.

See other thread about "true" yardage in the game...oh, and again--final score.

Most of those yards came when we were up 16 points and they were playing soft zone.

Outside of ND's first drive, our D did a great job keeping everything in front of them and avoiding a huge play.

We made all the big plays and that's why we won.

ND is good offensively, but remember it was 23-7 with 11 minutes remaining and we only had 3 rushing the passer.

This.  We were playing a VERY good team in Notre Dame, and outside of maybe WVU, we probably won't see another offense that good the rest of the year.  As long as the team stays focused, they'll be fine.

We played against a Top 5 WR in college football. Also ND has always had good receiving TE's that get open. They can be tough to defend. I expect us to play better D against Pitt and other BE foes

We played safe-no question... If you watch the game again, we played off and kept it all in front of us-when we didn't, Floyd made the highlight reel...  Smart game plan

They played prevent most of the second half.  The last 90 yards were a gimme as long as it took more than 3 min to score.  IMO they should have mixed a blitz in on that final drive.  The ND QB had way to much time most of the day however the run D was pretty good.
