We still have a month before our first home game.  Plus we have the FanFest where they normally sell season tickets at the stadium.  We will be pretty close to last year in my estimation.  The schedule is really good, and who has a better deal than $65 for 7 games??

This

There is always a final push on the last month, including FanFest, which includes people procrastinating or waiting till the last minute (work out final finances)

A good amount of people sometimes wait for FanFest to buy tickets so they can actually sit on a seat before buying.

Also from the article:

"McGillis said USF's group ticket sales are well ahead of last year's pace, an encouraging sign for the final month before the season starts."

I just graduated and simply cannot afford season tickets but I guarantee it will be one of my first buys once I get a real job. With my current job I'll be lucky to make it to more than one game this year...  :-[

If you still have a friend enrolled at USF, talk with them to get you companion tickets. They're $10 per game, so if you go to all 7 games, $70 for seats in the student section.

They are $15 if I remember correctly.

Remember with FSU coming in next year you'll probably NEED season tickets to get to that game...

I'm sorry but I see this as a bogus excuse.... You can get the graduate package or you can get seats for under $200.... heck don't they have the seats up in the 300's for $75 again this year?  ::)

Dude, you need to lay off.  It really bugs me when someone puts their situation out there, and in the strong chance you don't know the guy in real life, you tell him his excuse is bogus.  He says "with his current job .." and "it will be one of my first buys once I get a real job."  You should take him at his word.  $75 is still a crap ton of money to someone with a crappy job and crappy hours.

The main reason why we are not getting a solid 25-30K in season ticket sales is due to the economy, which is due to the Fed's policies... until something changes dramatically then we are going to be in the gutter for another 10-20 years, or more.

I know this is not the Mad Cow but I will add this to make my point... when the former Soviet Union and Communist China start ******** about how our socialist policies are not only working, but is dragging down the global economy then we have a major problem that is not going to be fixed easily with a new President or Congress...

Thankfully my family has been able to keep the depression at bay, but even so I am not renewing my season tickets this season because I am back in skool right now, to get a higher degree to get more money, and we are planning to have a kid. Best I can do is a end of the season package... should be able to get season tickets again in either 2012 or 2013.

Sometimes **** happens... and lately there is a lot of ****

If you are a recent graduate, you might be able to still get student tickets for free. My buddy graduated and still had student status for up to a year after he graduated. He was able to get a free ticket to the bowl game against Clemson this past fall through that way. Something to look into, you'll just have to keep on top of the request periods and see if it works out for you.
