Hargreaves' latest offer: Illinois

CB Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Wharton (5-foot-11, 181 pounds)

The latest: Hargreaves announced via Twitter this morning that he has picked up an offer from Illinois -- his third Big Ten offer according to ESPN.

Offers: Arizona, USC, FSU, Florida, Illinois, USF, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Louisville, Michigan, Ole Miss, Duke, Ohio State, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Miami, Purdue, South Carolina

Last season: A three-way star who even played some quarterback out of necessity, Hargreaves collected more than 500 total yards, 10 touchdowns, 49 tackles, two interceptions and three blocked field goals. Wharton made the Class 8A playoffs.

They say: Hargreaves was fourth in the initial ESPN 150 national rankings for the Class of 2013 released Tuesday.
