I am guessing once the old stadium was torn down they could not apply for the "beer/wine permit until the new stadium had been completed. Really nothing they could do to expedite it. The County should have just let them transfer it over but that would make too much sense and be too easy.

This is government we're talking about. They want their license fees and taxes, regardless if we're a university.

Going to the game tonight. Do they have the beer flowing yet, or will I have to get hammered before I get to the stadium?

If baseball is so bad that you need to "get hammered" why do you go???

Actually, baseball is my favorite sport. I dont HAVE to, but I enjoy drinking beer at baseball games.

Drinking a few beers is one thing, getting hammered is another.

Geeze, sounds like someone dropped the ball.  I'm not looking at it from a "I can't watch an event without a beer perspective"...I can give or take that.  But, it does seem like a lot of lost revenue to me.

i wonder what the estimation they will have lost just from opening weekend and the UF game....

That is the sad part in all this, the lost revenue ....

What's the deal on the Pavillion being able to have it ..... no individual sales?

I'm not sure how the pavilions and deck work, but I would guess that its because those are rented as a package and that the beer is not being sold as an individual item.

Son of a.  Guess I'll finally get to use that new flask I got for Christmas.

Bingo. We have a winner. Going to have to bust out the Blue and Old Gold flask. Jim, you know what I'm talking about.

the only problem with this is if you add it to a previously existing beer belly, you wind up looking like a Tellatubbie going to the game. Not all that suspicious, but the guy sitting next to you is wondering what that slightly moist feeling in his lap is  >:D
