Some good news on an otherwise sad story regarding a BE brother...

Rutgers University announced that paralyzed football player Eric LeGrand has movement in his shoulders and “full sensation†throughout his body, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.  LeGrand spoke with ESPN for his first interview since he was paralyzed on October 16.

The interview will be shown on Friday morning, and will go over the progress LeGrand has made since the injury.  He was initially paralyzed below the neck and  ha’s been breathing without a ventilator since October.

In a heartbreaking note, LeGrand said that he wanted to give the crowd a thumb’s up when he was carted off the field, but said he felt like “1,000 pounds was on this thumb.â€

Glad to hear Eric is on a good path in terms of recovery.  Not surprised ESPN is jumping in to grab a few headlines.  They better be financially generous to the guy considering they're planning to rake in some cash on his tragedy.

You guys are quick. Just saw this and came to post. Very good news for the young man.  Let's hope he continues to a full recovery someday.

technically, espn doing a piece on him is a touching, tragic story, and will garner a few extra viewers during sportscenter. granted, they could fill it with other filler too, but hopefully espn shoots a little money his way for charity's sake to help the young man recover and rehab (hopefully it's not seen as impermissible benefits)
