I figured that this was the year we needed to land a BIG QB name and pick up some 'sought after' guys...

our best recruits at this point are Edsel Caprice and Max Lang... these are the types of guys we should be getting regularly with the occasional splash 4 star or 5 star.

Not at all excited about our QBs...

Just my thoughts... I'd like to hear your opinions.

Unrealistic expectations on a 1st year coach who has never recruited the area.

you think we should be making commitable offers to more than a few kids with little to no BCS interest?

it's still a long time till signing day, plus we haven't even played a down of football. Maybe once these kids see what kind of offense and defense we run, they'll show some more interest.  :2cents not that it amounts to much

Well I find it interesting....doesn't seem to be waiting around to offer some of these guys. Is he trying to build a relationship with HS coaches so he is offering some of these kids early? Definately a different style than Leavitt.

Unless BJ goes down....I think he showed us enough in 2009 to show he can carry the reins for a while so just getting Depth at QB I think is key. Also of note that he is focusing on pro-style QB's.

Looking forward to seeing how the Holtz era looks....I am not expecting miracles.....at least not yet.  ;D
