Quite a few of those two star guys will move up, because they are relatively unknown at the moment. He doesn't seem to have independent knowledge of his own on any of those players. Anybody can write for them, so I wouldn't pay them any attention.According to Rivals, of the 9 USF verbals 5 are 3-stars and the other 4 have not even been evaluated. http://rivals.yahoo.com/usf/football/recruiting/commitments/2011I know that Scout has us with fewer 3-stars, but many of the 2-stars they have for us are rated by their Florida site as being in the top 100 in the state. So, that doesn't make any sense. What, you think that Florida has a great abundance of high school football talent? Where would you get such an idea? ;D

Schools get points for each player that signs so if we only have 25 schollys and another school has 30 they may end up with more points but less quality.I'm 100% with you on this, even if your hypethetical numbers are off. Recruiting rankings are highly arbitrary, and in fact, the reason why we had that #25 class in 09 was because of shear volume and a couple of highly rated jewels (JPP, Victor Marc, Bradley Battles and Ricardo Dixon). I have yet to see a good "article" on there, and even the ones that were half good are counteracted by the truly miserable other schlock on there. The new pizza toppings have yet to prove themselves and let's not forget that the curly fries could have some academic issues.
Bullpride08 Posted August 9, 2010 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 4,016 Reputation: 0 Days Won: 0 Joined: 02/20/2002 Share Posted August 9, 2010 We can poke fund at this goofy assessment this early, and it is a bit ridiculous to do at this point because no one knows who's waiting on commitments from whom, and we all know USF is a notorious late signer especially wen it comes to many of our marquee names. But there is some reason for nervousness with this class. Remember the average FL top 100 there is about 55% of the kids have already committed, and there are another 20% that USF isn't even in on. So USF is really on the hot seat right now to start grabbing some elite guys.Remember we're not in a conference for the weak any longer. Pitt has 4 Top 250 players verballed already, RU two, WVU 1, and UL is pickin up steam, and Cinci has one top 250.USF has lost out on a number of top targets recently so we're going to need to work extra hard if we want to continue the streak of signing at least 1 four star player every year since 2003.
