we have the right coach here, but things arent going to be fixed overnight.

So many question marks. I'd like to at least make a bowl, but I won't write-off Coach Holtz if that is not accomplished since this transition is a monumental task.

I agree with this assertion.  The real build for this program is toward the 2011 and 2012 seasons when i think USF will be very special...2010 is a transition year as many of the top flight talent in the 2008 and 2009 classes start to mature this season (many who have even yet to see any meaningful playing time).  BJ Daniels is still a baby relatively speaking in football terms this is only his second spring practice session, let him grow and learn this new offense in 2010, and for that matter let the new staff grow and learn what to expect out of BJ in live action, and then I expect by 2011 and 2012 the offense will be supremely shaped to match his skills, the young defense will be experienced and ready to go, and game breakers will re-emerge (with AJ Love down we don't really know who are play makers are going to be on offense-- they've yet to emerge).  This season just survive and try to secure a bowl bid....Skip's first years at ECU was 4-7, and 5-6 at Uconn...he's not a miracle worker he's just a good coach that needs a year or two to mold things properly.  Especially starting as late as he did.

I've been disappointed with our results since becoming 1A, except for our 9-2 year.

I think we have the talent to win the conference.

Go BULLS !!!

So you agree that CJL wasn't getting the job done?

6-6 or 7-5  is what I'm expecting.  New coaching staff, new system; takes time to build.  Anything better is a great season.

Also, beating Florida or Miami will impact how the record is viewed.  7-5 and beating Florida is different than 7-5 and losing to Florida. Same with Miami.

Doesn't seem like that perspective worked on last year's record beating FSU :-\
