5-7 next season. The defense will be under seige.

The defense will also be BETTER next season.  I don't see SEVEN teams that could beat us.  To me, the "worst case scenario" would be 7-5.... losing to Florida, Miami, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and either Rutgers or West Virginia.

7-5 0r 6-6 unless we have 1-2 big surprises in newcomers, ala JPP/Griffin

Regardless of who UF loses next season they will still have a ton of talent. We've never won at Louisville, so that isn't a gimmie by any means.

Yes, Florida will have a lot of talent.  But they will not be world beaters... and USF will have some decent talent as well.  It won't be easy... but it's not impossible.

Come on. We're talking Louisville, here.  It's a gimmie.

We lost to UL last year.  That was a gimmie too.

I thank all of you - so far - for not predicting 12 - 0 next year.

I think we said the same thing in 2008 as well.

i can't see our defense improving when we lose Selvie, Wilson, Allen, etc.

I think our defense will be better and these are my reasons.

On the line we lose Harris and Selvie but I think there is enough talent to replace them. If we were talking about the Selvie from sophomore year it would be a loss. So on the line I see us even or better if we get another Big DL that can help the middle next year.

LBs: We lose Wilson and Robinson. I think Barrington and Williams can do the job here and we are ading another juco LB that could help immdeiately. So again even or better if Barrington bulks up

DB's We lose Allen and Murphy. Once again we have started lots of youngsters here that if they develop can be justa s good or better. Murphy was getting toasted all year.

So overall with one more summer of conditioning and playing more I think our Defense will be better.

Schedule

OCC

Stony Brook- win

Western Kentucky- win

Fau- win

Florida- loss

Miami- loss

inconference

Louisville- we havent won there but I think we snap that trend- win

Cinncinati- we havent won there, this will be tough- loss

West Virginia- we seem to have their number- win

Cuse- at home- win

Pitt- tough match up could go either way- loss

Rutgers- I think we snap this trend- win

UConn- we have them at home- win

So I see 8-4 and 5-2 in conference, Champs Bowl

Miami, FLa, Cincy (0-4), Rutgers (0-4), LVille (0-4, there), Pitt are all pretty much losses unless our coaches coach better,  so that makes us 0-6.    Jim, wanting to win and ACTUALLY winning are entirely different and until we can ACTUALLY win in L'Ville or ever against Cincy and Rutgers, they are losses.  Before you contest that logic 3 letters.......UCF.

Possible losses....... WVA (depends on weather), Uconn (we should win this tho)

Wins -  CUSE, S.B., WKU and FAU

so next year 5-7 0r 6-6 maybe 7-5 at best with a fluke win.

All of this in contingent on us continuing to: 1.cause bad penalties, 2.playing poorly on special teams, 3.poor clock managent and 4.being out coached. If these things change we could end up 10-2 or 9-3

USF has beaten Rutgers and Cincy before, by the way... and technically with any given Saturday, USF could end up 3-9.

I prefer to think of our team as better ... and see us going 9-3. (I actually thought 12-0 this year, so I am being more realistic for next season)
