  1. It wouldn't let me vote/ register. How did you do it?
  2. the beauty of it all is that we won't have to pay any of it!! We can get him for the $800 or so K we offered Marshall and he gets 1.7mil for the next couple of years!!!
  3. Three people he must talk to....Moore, Lowery and Heath and keep Lutz on the backburner. Any of these would be great hires.
  4. Greg, where did you find your fax about Lowery's salary? Not that I don't believe you but I am shocked that he only makes high 100's to maybe low 200's. If that's the case sign him tomorrow!! or in a month after the dance. I'll change my mind and take A. Grant as the back up option.
  5. The best section for causing trouble, other than the student section. is 131. WE sat there for 4-5 years before moving to the home side. 131 is the section closest to the visitors. One request, don't get tickets here unless you can bring the smacktalk. The fellas that still sit there are hardcore will respect it and welcome it. I miss sitting there and go back sit for a quarter or so each game, just to keep the juices flowing. D.
  6. Bunchobull, No 208 is pretty cool, there is group there that makes shirts for the section every year. This last year was my first in it. No one says squat about sitting or standing in our surrounding rows. we're in k&l.
  7. Unfortunately MAB, in today's T Trib, Grant mentioned that he wasn't going to take just any job..... he wanted something that would set him up for success, thus the VCU job.  I doubt he would consider the train wreck that is our beloved USF Bulls. He wouldn't be set up for success, just an opportunity with a huge upside. I mean if you can win at the toughest job in America (according to Dickie V) then you can win anywhere. Right! Anthony are you up to the challenge???? Also the article mentioned 2 more assistants that might make the jump into head coaching jobs. Larry Shyatt (former Wyoming and CLemson HC) and Donnie Jones, long time assistant for Eddie Munster. And they both said the same thing, if the right set up comes along.
  8. I'm with M-A-B, Anthony Grant is the one to go after. $400K plus incentives and a tiered approach to improved facilites funding. Commit x amount and build on it each year. Should be easier to do with the success of womens' basketball.
  9. HB don't be a jacka$$, I guess by your brilliant logic, the cards have the weakest schedule because they play no one ranked higher than them. What a bunch of wussies scheduling a bunch of softees.
  10. Smazza...don't think anyone is really "counting" on Ford but rather hoping that he becomes the running back that he is hyped up to be.  He has the physical tools as we all know.  I still think it's a lot to ask of a freshman to come in a be the "guy".  I'd expect to see Plancher/Williams/Ponton get most of the carries early unless Ford shows that he is clearly better. there are 3 guys ahead of him for the moment....... come spring ball time there won't be any.
  11. We really don't have any options, we under pay all of our coaches, with one exception (CJL) and they all leave or underperform. What is CRMc's current salary? who can we get for that kind of change? I'm not happy about it either, but until the athletic dept. makes a conscious effort to spend the dough to get quality (not big name) or keep quality coaches (not counting CRS). We will stay in this predicament. That includes smazza constantly B#*ching!! unfortunately
  12. I'm glad I didn't see the thread until after the title changed. Flip - I'm a fellow Lakelander and I'm proud to say a huge MG fan even though I went to LHS. I don't post too often but I knew the impact Matt would have here. Glad to see he's staying!! But understand if he left we wouldn't support him, wish him well maybe.... except against the bulls! but wouldn't support him. ;D ;D ;D
  13. Actually Bien, Grothe and Wilson's number are quite similar (i didn't compare rushing, because that wouldn't be fair based on the different style of offenses) USf did have 200 more rush yards and 6 more td's (total) but BAMA threw for more and they are eeirly similar. MG 2576yd 15td/14ints 138pass rt. JPW 2707yds 17/10int 126 pr Just some stats, I hope we get him but the 2 situations aren't that far apart except for the 1 year of PT due JPW being a soph.
  14. Marve might have limited playing time at BAMA as well. The QB there was a RS freshman as well and did a very decent job. Their problems weren't QB inefficiency. So he would have to battle to start there as well. So don't knock USF's recruiting of Marve based on playing time.
