Announced attendance for ECU was 25,408 bringing the avg down to 29,388 for the year so far.

I know I had to work and couldn't get anyone to cover, but where was everyone else?

Kizarvexis

BTW, 10 penalties for 94 yds kept the avg down (10 for 86 avg) to under the record in '02. Last week it was 10 for 85 avg.

On TV it looked more like 15K at best. It didn't look too bad around half time, after the late arrivers showed up but before the early departers left.

Home game on Sunshine...against ECU.  That could spell low attendance.  Plus, as much as I hate to mention it, I believe many have given up on the Bulls this year.  Hell, a convincing win and no one even cares to talk about it.

The student turnout was dissapointing.  The south end zone had almost as many fans.

I noticed how quiet the board was relative to this game. Not a peep. I can see how the boys at BoneyardBanter or CrossBones would be quiet - the only bright spot on thier calendar (check their posts!) is the upcoming NCSU game in Charlotte.  I think, now that we're not bulldozing our way through CUSA, that maybe a lot of folks have given up on the Bulls.

Another thing I noticed...homecoming really was the big attendance game. I was surprised at how sparse the SoMiss game looked.

Well, it's better than having a convincing loss and having everybody talking about that!  ;D

I think many people here are somewhat wary about getting too high after this game.

Hopefully we can win @Cincy and then we will have a lot more to talk about.

All I know is that I like the improvement we have shown on both sides of the ball the last couple of games, but our upcoming opponents also seem to be improving.

...and speaking of the OpBoards...I just got back from a four - count 'em four! - page surf through Banter. Those folks are calling for the head coach's head on a platter.  This was not a good night to be coolin' your jets in front of the tube up in G'ville.  And I think having all these games on the tube does impact attendance...maybe not (I hope!) the season tix crowd, but certainly the gameday folks.
