That would cost so much. As a student there is no way I would ever be able to afford airfare and a hotel room that time of year just for one bowl game.

I'll stick with my yearly attendance of the Capital One Bowl over going to Stankee Stadium for a football game

it would be a great bowl to watch from the comfort of my recliner in Florida.  I spent too many winters in New York to voluntarily sit in that weather.  Bundle up, folks.  They need a dome if they want me to go.

for 4 people it would be cheaper to go to NYC than El Paso.  Flights would be about $100 less per person.  Hotel room is more expensive in NYC but not $400 more (well depends where you stay i guess)

either way, bowl trips arent cheap no matter what (unless its the st pete bowl or another driving distance game)

ill be happy with about 8 straight Orange Bowl appearances  :)

Matt,

That would be awesome if USF got 8 straight BCS Orange Bowl appearances. I would think they would send us to the Sugar Bowl a couple of times because they would get tired of us if we kept on winning the BIG EAST. The goal is to get to that point and I think USF can do that because Leavitt is committed to USF unlike some coaches are to the other programs in the BIG EAST.

I wouldn't mind a visit to the NCG one or two times out of those 8.

No team other than USC has been able to go to that many BCS games in a row...

You can get a nonstop flight from Tampa to Long Island's MacArthur airport and the fares shouldn't be as bad as flying into LaGuardia, Kennedy, or Newark.

Wow!  Didn't expect Big 12.  That's great.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
