I'd like to see Mo and Ford in the backfield with Lamar relieving them every so often... if we could get these two guys running full steam then we would be hard to stop.

He's been practicing, so he won't be out of the loop.

I say he gets some goal-line/short-yardage carries, then relief carries in the 4th quarter

I think you're going to see real defined roles this season the way things have gone.  Mo will be the starter, Lamar will be the change of pace and Ford will be the short yardage back with Samuels running the occasional reverse/trick runs and Taylor will redshirt.  That would be my guess.  But based on raw talent, it should be Ford starting and being a workhorse with the other guys filling in depending on the situation.  Ford would be best in a pro style attack where we had more guys to occupy the defense hopefully leaving him one on one with someone to beat to break it long.  In the spread, he can't get his momentum really going so it's better for speed backs with great acceleration which is why Lamar looks so good.  He's 0-60 in no time helping him to find holes.    Will be interesting to see what we do this weekend.

It's great to have this depth/talent in the backfield.

....now that he's off suspension.

Will he get a chance to get things down before the trip to Tallahassee or does he not play a role Saturday or at FSU?  Seems he's going to need to get some game play Saturday or the answer to that is signaled pretty strongly.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
