What would be our own Wild Cat formation name?

Recommended Posts

Stampede is good ... . I would like "El Toro"...

Theo Wilson played QB at JuCo...

Isaac Virgin was QB but is TE...

Imagine having 5 possible QBs for a RB/WR option...

But it we go with a pure wildcat... then it would be someone quick... Theo Wilson or Daniel Bryant... our RB's aren't the type to do it.

Oh, and USF did that in 2003... with Brian Fisher ... that Louisville game with 2 OTs was intense.

There is no wildcat offense in the playbook. It is essentially the same plays as last season.

You've seen the playbook this season?

I like Sanjay's idea of Kelly coming out of the formation. That dude does need to get the ball more.

yes i have; thats not to say it can't be implemented at all this season. As it stands i think you we see a VERY similar offense as far a actual play execution but you will see different play calling techniques.

I think it should be called the Wild Turkey.

Just Kidding,  how about the BullWhip Formation, really fast with a lot of pop.

I would put any of the following players in the backfield:

Theo Wilson (Pure versitiility to either run or pass)

Jamar Taylor (IMO USF's best running back)

Aston Samuels (Speed, Speed, Speed)

Lamar Lindsey (Speed, Speed, Speed)

Derrick Hopkins (Speed, Speed, Speed)

Landi needs to take some laterals from the wideout position and heave it deep on some trick plays.

Out of curiousity, how were you able to get your hands on a copy of the playbook?

I think we'll some drastically different things with Coach Canales calling the plays and he does want speed on the field, so a "Wild Cat" type formation could be something we see.

I can't believe only one person suggested that BJ Daniels run the wild cat formation that we might use....he is the most logical choice because he actually presents a legitimate passing threat combined with tremendous agility and scrambling ability....the only other people I would consider would be Lindsay Lamar or Theo Wilson but BJ Daniels I believe would have the most success with it
