According to the stats on this web site, Jenkins ran a 4.28... :o

Haven't seen anything elsewhere on the web to support this in my quick search, and they haven't added the times for the CBs on the Combine's web site...

SBien - I thought you said "I doubt he runs a sub 4.4 either, usually only about 1-2 do that each year".

Surely this has to be a suprise then.

;D

The rest of your other post was correct, he will be timed as one of the fastest at the combine this year, at least in the top 10.

As a note... here's the fastest times from some other categories...

QB, 4.55, 4.61, 4.68

RB 4.24, 4.33, 4.36

WR 4.35, 3x 4.37, 4.39

No other sub 4.4 times on the list at the Combine web site, and the only other faster time appears to be RB Chris Johnson at the 4.24. Oh, and Darren McFadden had a 4.33

I guess I am shocked partially because the combine times have improved over the past few years overall, I remember the days when running a sub 4.4 was a shock.  Maybe it should be expected with all the enhancements and all.  Or maybe it was you throwing him under the bus about some explanation of strider speed and how he wouldn't break 4.4 that threw me off. ;D

Like I said before he's had sprinter speed in HS, and always proven to be fast, so clocking in as one of the faster corner backs isn't a shocker.

FYI, he bested Justin King in the 40 too.  If you recall Justin was the guy he ran down to prevent that TD against PSU.  The year prior when Justin King was coming out of HS he was tabbed as the fastest guy coming out of HS.  That should put a gauge on Jenks speed.

Rogers-Cromartie just ran an unofficial 4.28 as well...

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
