Edited because the 4.28 time has been disproven... NFL's official time looks to be 4.4 flat...

Hell yeah . . . solidified as a top 15 pick now, easily.

If that is true he will slip into the top 10 for sure. Maybe top 6

Unless he really screws up in the position drills, he's solidified his position as #1, I think...

They don't have a 40 time up for Aqib Talib (Who seems to be the one that a lot of people think is the #1 CB), but for the Bench Press, he only benched 10 times, while Mike benched 18 times, but Talib does have 2 inches and 5 pounds on Mike...

Wow.  His speed coach deserves one hell of a bonus.

That should definately put him as the first or second CB taken.

It's really not that surprising, considering nobody ever beat him in a race on the football field.

Last year, when both Carlton Mitchell and Colby Erskin were timed in under 4.3 and named the fastest guys on the team, Mike Jenkins did not run.

I am not surprised by this result.  Mike once ran a 10.5 100m in HS, and was one of the fastest guys in FL that year coming out of HS.  His speed is not surprising, and just about everyone on the team has known he was one of the fastest guys on the team.

Mitchell and Erskin would not run a sub 4.3 at the combine.

According to the stats on this web site, Jenkins ran a 4.28... :o

Haven't seen anything elsewhere on the web to support this in my quick search, and they haven't added the times for the CBs on the Combine's web site...

hard to believe

it would make him one of the fastest men in the world

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
