The all white makes them look like stormtroopers.

And with Dennis Dixon out, they also have similar marksmanship skills.

It looks like the only sure thing is that we will NOT play Cal, and Oregon State is an extremely slim chance. It will most likely be Oregon or UCLA. ASU is a slim possibility if the doomsday scenario listed in Brett's blog (that would have UCLA going to the Rose Bowl.....yes, U-C-L-A, the same team that lost to Notre-Freakin' Dame)

i would honestly prefer UCLA to OState...

and a Dixon-less Oregon is really a let down for me personally.  i would have loved to see the guy in person, and see how we handle him and that sick RB they got (Stewart?), kinda like a west coast version of White/Slaton.  the similarities are glaring, and the Ducks (with Dixon) had an incredibly high-powered, speedy offense, just like WVU.  shutting down two top-calibre offenses like that in 1 season would solidify the legend of the Bulls' Ben/Jenk/Trae senior defense.

regardless, i wanna see the Ducks, if for no other reason than their mascot.  that thing is hi-freakin-larious.  the Duck and Rocky would be a sideshow all it's own.

If Arizona State beats Arizona, and if UCLA beats USC, and if OSU beats Oregon, wouldn't that put the Trojans at 3rd place(after tie-breaker is applied) and available to the Sun Bowl? (assuming they fall lower than 14th in BCS, which they should)

1. Arizona State(7-2)

2. UCLA(6-3) (beat Oregon, OSU, and USC)

3. USC(6-3) (beat OSU)

4. Oregon State (6-3) (beat Oregon)

5. Oregon (5-4) (beat USC)

Holiday Bowl gets to pick a Pac-10 team before the Sun Bowl, so most likely Sun gets loser of the Civil War, although I believe Oregon will be ranked higher than OSU in the BCS even if it loses this weekend.

"First, the BCS will choose it's teams tomorrow..."

Um, no. Next Sunday.

The article also doesn't mention what would happen if UCLA wins the Pac 10 (USC and ASU losing)... #8 USC and #13 ASU would likely both be out of the Top 14 if they lost... which means only UCLA would go to the BCS.  That would leave USC and ASU for the Holiday and Sun Bowls, with the Oregonians heading to other bowls.

So it's not only Oregon and Oregon State.

Tie-breakers are only applied for the BCS.  In all other cases a tie is a tie is a tie, and the bowls get to choose from among the tied teams in order of place. Holiday would get the second "first place" team (probably USC), the Sun would get the third "first place" team - either ASU or the Civil War winner (OSU in your list above).
