it appears as tho the coaches have finally given him some playing time to silence the doubters.

140 yards against Louisville?  holy ****!

if he stays focused and goes to class, this kid is gonna be a consistent 100 ypg + runner.

we may just have that unstoppable QB/RB tandem that we've always wished for in the next couple years...

the past couple years we've been wondering what it would have been like to have a Blackwell and a Hall on the team at the same time...  if Mike keeps up and keeps improving, the Grothe/Ford combo will do big, big things.

I don't recall anyone doubting Ford has the talent to be a good back.

Where are the OC Gregory doubters?

Hes done a much better job these last 2 games adding wrinkles.  If he calls with the imagination he has the last 2 weeks in the rest of his time year our offense could be scary good the next 2 years.  Glad to see the new coordinator and the young offense all start to click at once.  Also helps that the players have started executing better the last 2 weeks as well.  Hopefully this is what our offense looks like from hear on out with a couple new wrinkles here and there.

Hello.....did everyone forget we are all on the same side?

It would be nice if we could stop with the us versus them posts and carry on with just cheering on our Bulls.  >:(

Mike Ford is making the most of his opportunity and the coaches all look smarter by giving him the pill and a creating more balance on offense.

Two facts for both sides to chew on:

1. Gregory admitted he has made some mistakes and made some bad calls. The fans who were calling for a greater committment to the running game were proven to be correct b/c its not a coincidence that we started playing better when we STOPPED forcing Grothe to be the ENTIRE offense.

2. Mike Ford has finally EARNED his playing time. Ford figuratively and literally fumbled away his opportunities earlier in the season by not securing the ball and not going to class. Similarly,  now that Gregory has integrated the offense into a more BALANCED attack give the man some props. If this was Rod Smith we would never see this midyear adjustments like we have seen this year. I've been a Gregory critic, but he has shown us something that we haven't seen from a USF offense the last couple of years.

....oh btw......we are 8-3. Everyone would be better served by making your bowl game plans. No excuse this year why we can't travel at least 10K...that is unless it's in Toronoto ;^)

You guys make it sound like people wanted to see Ford kicked off the team. You also make it seem like we thought he sucked or something. I was one of the people who said he may not be ready and you know what maybe he wasn't. Maybe the time backing up Ben made him a better player. You have to trust the coaching staff in not only physically but mentally developing our players. How many times have you seen phenominal athletes get handed everything on a silver platter, get a big head and then just waste all of that talent by not buying into the team concept. You may not want to here it but Ford may be a better player for having  to have beaten Ben for the starting spot. He may work harder to stay on top. Truth is only the coaching staff knows why he didn't start sooner. But it's just crazy to think that true USF fans wanted to see him fail or something. It's about team first. There are tons of programs with stacks of 5'star players that can't play as a team.JMHO
