I enjoyed the game...

I'm excited to see what happens with soccer in the US and the MLS.

I've always been a fan.

I've never seen so much hype for soccer in America.

I would imagine this probably pales in comparison to Pele playing in NYC.  And that didn't do squat for American soccer.

futbol will always pale in comparison to Football, basketball, baseball & hockey in the states.

Agreed.... except in the case of hockey. I don't even think MLS is trying to be as huge as NFL or baseball.

Football, basketball and baseball I agree with. (although baseball support has dwindled the last 25 years).  But MLS could surpass hockey as the #4 pro sports league.  Hockey gets very little national coverage or even local coverage unless you live in an NHL city.  The NHL is not very popular overall in the US.  I like both hockey and soccer, so it doesn't matter to me.  I am not a soccer hater, unlike some football fans.

I think that NASCAR would be the #4 "sport". ESPN has their own shows for this crap and it makes me want to go into hibernation every time it airs.

I heard a rumor that we might be getting this character too....any truth??

Heard those rumors too... Could you imagine with those two giants touring the country?

He would be a huge get even though hes a bit old hes still top class unlike becks who is past his prime.  Now if they could just get a star in his prime like a Kaka, Ronaldinho, Drogba etc.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
