  1. I was at the Super Bowl victory parade yesterday and saw BJ on the truck with the other QBs. He was certainly living it up. It's great to be celebrating this with another Bull, especially the same guy I personally watched take it to FSU.
  2. Can there be an automatic delete rule for any gnat that comes here? I don't care if the posts sounds positive, it's only there to help their agenda of putting USF down.
  3. Definitely agree about the library, however I think the new future honors college will be the the signature building on campus. I think I read that somewhere. Can't wait for those renderings to come out. About Cooper...Not another dollar needs to be sunk into that pile unless it's to tear it down. I really don't see how it can be renovated at all. What kills me the most about cooper is that this building houses tons of classes for incoming freshmen students. I remember thinking on my first day of classes back in '02, "This is college?" Not a great way to boost morale for so many eager, excited, incoming college students. I guess you can be cute, and think of it as a rite of passage for all bulls, but it's still kind of sad when your high school was ten times nicer than the [glow=yellow,2,300]new building[/glow] you'll be spending most of your time in as a freshmen. I think I found a flaw in your argument. Cooper Hall has to be more than 40 years old... not a "new" building by any means. Moreover, USF only has about 5,000 freshmen each year... and accepts far more transfers from other schools who don't have to take Freshman English or other "Gordon Rule" courses. Is the building terrible? Yup. It just doesn't have quite impact you might think. I'm an engineering transfer student and have only taken engineering related classes yet I've still had 3 classes in Cooper. 2 in the fall, 1 in the spring. I hate, hate, hate the smell of the subway bread or whatever it is. I had a class in a small room right behind Subway and every time I smelled it, I got nauseous. Cooper hall sucks but there are plenty of other buildings that suck more. Life Sciences and BEH come to mind. There isn't a single window in the phy/math building. ENB is the filthiest building I have ever been in. I feel like I need to go through a sanitation chamber whenever I leave. Fortunately, that can be changed...
  4. just stop here. all other schools will look inferior here on out
  5. Upon further review: Life Sciences building needs to be demolished like, tomorrow. Also, there needs to be more art and sculptures. Stained/Moldy beige brick = yucky.....Stained/Moldy Red Brick = Historic buildings
  6. The Library is an embarrassment. I hope that beige brick is never brought on campus again - it's hideous. The red brick goes too well with our colors to pass up, plus it looks great with ivy growing on it. I think the funniest thing I have read referring to our campus was from UCFer...Our campus looks like a soviet housing development. Things I would like to see added: (not including OCS) 1. A clock tower or prominent landmark - used for a Central meeting place. 2. New Library 3. More red brick with green accents. My favorite buildings on campus include the Natural Sciences, Education, and Moffit Cancer Center. We need to expand on that architecture. Cease building structures that will hold us over for 20 years, we need stuff that could potentially last 75-100 years.
  7. That could be the best thing to every happen to you all...trust us! Thanks for posting on our board.
  8. I voted for 8-5 back in dec 25th? Eck, I disgust myself. Now that we've won a bowl game and got a RB game since then, I'm going with 9-4 at worse and 10-2 at best. Our kicking game still has me concerned. They might be some crucial games decided by our field goals.
  9. Doubt it. I'll be there wearing my Madrid scarf, I might even buy a Robinho jersey. Interesting blog though, I know that I would rather watch most soccer games over an NHL game but that's only because I didn't grow up in a hockey area. BUT they hockey fans I knew of like soccer too. They kind of belonged to the same counter culture.
  10. No Doubt! But in order to start a sweep, we need to win tonight. Sooooo SWEEP!!
  11. Maybe its cuz I'm at work but the last 2 freeze up in the beginning. Thanks for posting these and welcome to the BULLS NATION!
  12. I added my comment but it's not posted yet....here are the rest http://www.usforacle.com/home/index.cfm?event=displayArticleComments&ustory_id=065924cd-3780-4375-897c-3c78c9e70ef0
  13. I get it...sarcasm on both accounts. Good one RT!
  14. I refer to the MLS as the minor leagues for Europe. I'm just curious how Columbus, SC has a bigger soccer following than Tampa? How could that be?
  15. I was at the game too. Landon Donovan had an amazing game. As far as fan support for MLS, I just can't see it. People always say that TB is a huge sports community but only AFTER a team wins a national championship. No one cares about the Devil Rays, no one cared about the Bolts at the beginning of the season. No one would care if there was an NBA team, so why would anyone care about soccer? Tampa is a football and hockey (if they're winning) town, not the "sports town" everyone makes it to be. My hometown, Seattle, is a sports town. When Real Madrid came to town to play DC United, they sold out seahawks stadium (65,000) even with ticket prices through the roof - and I doubt half the fans were legit Madrid fans, like those Ecuadorean losers. With that being said, if tampa were to ever get an MLS team, I would have season tickets. SUPPORT US SOCCER!
  16. Slaughter!! I had no idea that Tino was the hitting coach. That's so awesome!! I grew up watching him play in Seattle and was quite bitter when he went to the Yanks (cuz I hate the yanks). Glad to be back in the same town as him.
  17. I give up on trying to post there....eh. I'll just see them at the stadium.
  18. I wanted to throw in my $.02 but it says there is an error, that I'm not allowed to reply. I registered an all but still can't. I don't even have an email confirmation in my inbox. hrm E.T. - If you're out there - these guys could sure use some stats thrown down their throats. PS. I love the line about compairing their Offense to WV...who we embarassed. UL has a better offense too...but that defense still scares the hell out of me.
  19. Next Spring??? I have to give up my coveted parking spot I get at 8am cuz they're building a parking garage that will benefit more people? BUT I have to park across the street now!!!
