So, is he currently enrolled at Pearl River?

HE BELONGS IN pRISON

Yeah, prison is a great place to make a first-time offender see the error of his ways.  :-?

F*CK HIM!!!  I hate hearing bull**** along the lines of, "everyone makes a mistake... he deserves to change his life around..."  That's such garbage.  First time offender.... hmmm.... (carry the one).... (divide by two).... Oh!  How about don't do it in the first place!  Thanks.

It was the first time he was caught as an adult. Who knows if he had any arrest before he was 18. What about the people he victimized? He is a felon. If the Justice system was weak on crime then maybe we wouldn't have such a crime problem.

^first time?  Umm, wasn't he on probation when he stole the cameras?  Which means that something had to have happened before...

I don't think he was on Probation.

Ex-Bulls recruit arrested

Stirrups, who earned first-team all-state honors as a defensive lineman at Hillsborough High last fall, was arrested Monday on six felony charges relating to auto burglaries.

Stirrups, 18, who had signed a football scholarship with USF but failed to qualify academically, was to play this fall at Pearl River with plans to return to USF in two years. The severity of the charges against him could change that.

Tampa Police arrested Stirrups at 11 a.m. and charged him with two counts of burglary of a conveyance, two counts of third-degree grand theft, one count of dealing in stolen property and one count of giving false information to a pawnbroker. All six are felonies, and he remained in Hillsborough County jail on Monday night, held on $17,500 bail.

Stirrups, a 6-foot-4, 275-pound first-team Times All-Suncoast selection, was rated the nation's No. 8 defensive tackle by recruiting site Rivals.com.

it's so crazy how quick people are to play the holier than thou card...

you don’t know him.  you don’t know if he even committed the crime.  You know nothing about his life, socioeconomic status, or the situation, yet you are so quick to judge. (unless you 2 are old pals, or know more than you read online)

People always see problems within themselves as being caused by some outside force, yet always blame others problems on a character flaw or some other intrinsic problem.

I know to accept a diversionary program (which he did) you have to admit guilt. I know he was chrged and admited to 6 felonies. 5 3rd degree felonies and 1 2nd degree felony. I could care less about his socioeconomic status. So all poor prople have the right to victimize others? If that is the case I sure hope it's your car that gets stollen and not mine.

new study shows 95% of what is said over the internet is misinterpreted...hahah

of course i don't think people have the right to victimize others...I'm saying that external factors such as SES status CAN lead to antisocial and criminal behavior, which I don’t believe is a reflection of poor character…it’s poor upbringing.  but I do appreciate your kind words about my car

i was simply saying that "F*CK HIM!!!" is a little overboard for someone that you don't know

also, i had no idea he did a diversionary program (you could have chimed in with that fact a little earlier)...i've only read that there were "alleged" charges...ya know the whole innocent till proven guilty thing
