I thought there was a story about Ford not coming to USF.I have no problem bringing a STUDENT athlete to USF that needs help in the classroom.  We are, after all, an institution of higher learning.I couldn't agree more. As long as he puts forth the effort to succeed I see no problem in going out of our way to get him here. I would feel different if we were hearing stories about legal or personality problems but there doesn't seem to be any troubles there.

Football players have the opportuinity for a college education, but most of them really aren't in college to get a degree. This is the paradox with college football, if all things were fair there would be NO college football and their would be a minor league for the NFL and kids would be paid. But alas, the world is not fair and the NFL gets all the benefits of the college system as their minor league without the financial burden. Let's not kid ourselves about the system. On that note: Unless he has committed a felony, or is getting in butt-loads of trouble, we ABSOLUTELY want him on our team!
