Maybe just because you are a buckey but I have to disagree completely. The school you attend does have to be your die hard favorite team. You can be fans of other teams but there will not be another "your" school. Academics seem to hate to admit this but there is a direct connection between the respect you get for that piece of paper hanging in your office and the success/recognition of your athletic programs. If you want to make that piece of paper more valuable than you do everything in your power to promote respect of your school and your support of athletics is a big part of that. Putting any other school above your own not only is disrespectful to the school but it also indirectly helps to devalue that piece of paper. Well my wolverine friend... U have an opinion and i respect it, but i do disgaree... I dont feel like making a long post about this because i feel i will just get attacked... But, guys we need to realize the only fact about being a fan is that there are no rules or guidlines to who u are supposed to like, no matter what any tells u.. I went to a large portion of usf bball games(stormed the court against nd), and some football games... But even if i get a degree from usf, the south florida bulls football team will never even come close to my heart as the buckeyes.. and thats just something i cant fight...

There are so mnay reasons as to why someone is a fan of a team/school... And for more reason then one, soemtimes people can not attend that school.. I must say i am surprised bobcat has not come on here telling everyone how they are wrong and they have to root for a team team based on these rules.. Anyway, I am a die hard buckeye (as most of you know), but def root for usf... I dont feel like righting an essay, so ill sum it up liek this, The school u attend doesnt always have to be ur die hard fav team, but u by no means should root against ur school just to piss people off or be the rebel... Thats just stupid..

Ok, it is called online lingo dude. Do you think I turn in my HONORS COLLEGE essays like this? I always think its hilarious when people try to insult ones intelligence because of how they type. I would bet my USF GPA is higher then yours... OSU represents everything thats wrong about college athletics? You have no idea what you are talking about... But this is not an osu thread so im not gonna talk about osu... Bobcat, what in the hell is your problem? You feel the necessity to attempt to belittle all of my posts.. Now I understand you went to OhioU, but i dont think that gives you the right to just attack me.. Im not a ucf/ecu fan on here talking crap, i root for usf and am a student here... Now I may not root for usf with the same passion as osu, but that is my choice... And dude, you make it sound like usf is the only school where people root for other teams.. This happens at every school, im sure you even have the few at osu/usc/uf/texas who root for others... You seem to take this so seriously, its really not that big of a deal.. There are no rules for being a fan.. I think i met you last yeat outside of the uconn vs usf basketball game.. You told me you hate osu since they tried to sue OU or something... Excuse me if you are not the person I am speaking of.. I will use the online rambo term again.. You and a few others act so hostile online, and claim you will call anyone out wearing other schools colors... Yet I have been here for just over a year and a half, and sport my osu gear 2-3 times a week, yet no one has ever called me out...  But again, I never called you out. So why be so hostile just because you have a difference of opinion? Im not a ucf/ecu fan talkin crap, i am here to contribute to a bulls thread...I will say you seem to be one of the more opinionated persons on this board, which i would say isnt a good thing if and when you ever get highered by a decent company.. I can only imagien what you will do if your boss tells you to do something you dont like.. And this is not only to you bobcat but everyone.. PEOPLE LIKE BOBCAT ARE THE REASON MORE PEOPLE ARE NOT USF FANS... AS OPPOSED TO TELLING PEOPLE HOW COOL IT IS TO BE APART OF AN UP AND COMING PROGRAM, HE CALLS PEOPLE OUT AND PISSES PEOPLE OFF.. wow, i thought this topic was dead... anyway... i dont wanna spill my life story, but sometimes as bad as u wanna do soemthing if u dont have the financial ability to do so it doesnt matter... and again i do root for usf... just not nearly on the same level as osu... i agree with u, that u should not root agaisnt ur school, but u dont have to be a die hard fan of the team... And i will say again, if u think u have the right to tell me or anyone who i can or cant root for, u have issues... If u would ever like to discuss this in person as opposed to being an "online rambo", i work at the usf gym...

I just say if anyone actually thinks they have the right to tell someone who they are allowed to root for and who they are not, this person has personal issues and are as close minded as any human can be... I mean thats like telling someone what girl to like... come on... aint nothin wrong with stickin with ur roots.. And sometimes for more reason then one u cant go to the university of ur choice.. Even better point, someone mentioned this on the last page.. For the sensitive USF fans.. Some of u are so quick to tell people who root  for FSU/UF/UM/OSU  that they are wrong..  If u met a kid who goes to UF that is a diehard USF bulls fan, are you gonan tell him he needs to go root for his gators and he has no right to root for the bulls??? I highly doubt it, u would probably embrace him.... If someone feels a personall allegiance to another school/team, so be it.. Dont waste ur energy criticizing them, cause it prob wont get u anywhere...

I think the "u live here therefor u must root for us now approach" is very stupid as well.. I am on for staying with ur roots and rooting for the team u have been rooting for despite where u move. Now, rooting against the team of the area u relocate to just because u wanna piss everyone off is somewhat uncalled for. It seems we are referring more to pro teams, but i obviously practice this thru all of my sports choices. I have taken some heat on this board for my choice of college teams to root for.. I am a die hard buckeye fan till i die, but i def without a doubt root for usf when they play, and go to a larger portion of sporting events then most students at usf... So again, i support the staying with ur roots despite where u move.. But just dont be that guy at a football party in tampa that is the only one who week in and week out, roots for whoever the bucs are playing..

Very good player none the less.. But if thats what he told rivals, he lied... OSU was taking a look at him after there top DE prospect (ben martin, Tee martin's nephew) decided to go to tennesee.... He was actually supposed to visit last weekend, but osu decided they should bank the schollarship for next yr.. he was never offered a scholly, and right before his visit which would have been last week they told him they were not interested anymore... Also he wouldnt get thru admissions at osu.. Again, very good player none the less.. Actually i doubt he will qualify anyway... I think nebraska took away his scholly and gave it to someone else since they didnt think he would qualify...

My aunt works for bay news 9 and called me and told me that a usf football player, had a seizure in the athletic facility... She said she heard he is not doing well, but is not 100% sure... Hopefully hes ok...

rumblings that he might visit ohio state also...

I posted this in the other mike ford thread.. but i talked to amarri last night in the gym... he said mike will be moving in with him before monday.. he could just be saying that to get people off his back, but he seemed pretty open and confident about it..

I had about a 15 minute convo with amarri jackson yesterday in the gym... Nice  nice guy, he knows i work in the gym so when he saw me, he started talkin to me.... He said, Mike will be movin in on monday with him.... he said a few more inteersting things about his draft stock... but again, unless he is just sayin that to keep fans off his back, mike will b livin with him monday.. he seemed very confident about it.. PS.. please dont stone me this time for being a buckeye fan... just passing along info that i know is pertinent to yall..

I go to UF, but I transferred from USF... And I will root for USF over UF any day, but that being said I am a big UF fan. I can't see why you would root for a school that didn't want you...but you can root for whoever you want. Just don't be on this borad when USF wins the Big East in 2009. And lets see what OSU does against a REAL defense. See, it is possible to like other schools, but you can also root for YOUR school.  BTW, I like the screen name.  LOL well i think the i dont root for my school was taken out of context... I dont root for them passionatly like i do the buckeyes, but it snot like i odnt go to sporting events and when i go i dont root for them.. i mena think about it, if i didnt care for usf i wouldnt waste my time creeping around on there message board.. and in repsonse to "lets see what they do agaisnt a real d".... Well michigan has the best front 7 in football, 2 top ten picks on there dline.. but the UF d is def very tough and fast.. i look forwrad to this game.. I said i thought u guys deserved it, teams that just find ways to win are kinda scary.. it will b a good game.. but i do root for usf.. just not like the buckeyes.. what i menat was there not my fav team..
