Is there something missing? Is he a bad kid? As far as I know, he's trying to get into school. If he does, great. If he doesn't, we really haven't gotten rid of him.

I just feel with this kind of situation problems seem to resurface later. Let's say he does get in but becomes inelegible, now you have invested time and work teaching an athlete that CAN'T play. Why not look in other directions? IS he REALLY that special? You know...I don't know? :-/

The issue is with testing, not with grades. Some people have problems with tests. That doesn't make them stupid, and it doesn't make them bad people. If he's a good person that works hard and is willing to do what it takes to get the grades, then that's exactly the kind of person I want representing my alma mater.

You know...I don't know? :-/ If you watched our running game last season then you would realize that a talent like his would do wonders for the team. So to answer your question, yes he is really that special.

Guest Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 You should change the title of this thread... I thought there was a story about Ford not coming to USF.I have no problem bringing a STUDENT athlete to USF that needs help in the classroom. We are, after all, an institution of higher learning.
