Everytime the coach talked about PJ, he had great respect for him

And PJ was standing behind Grothe all the time....He helped Grothe get to the level where he is..

Thank You PJ...You will surely be missed

he did a great job, i was really pulling for him to score one final TD though

great career at USF though, I'm not sure where this team would be without him

PJ was a class act, I admire the way he stood behind Grothe this year.

I've been harsh on PJ the past 2 years on the board, but that was only for his play.

He seems to be a class individual and he showed that by the way he supported Matt and the team this year.

It was nice he got to play in the Bowl win to finish his playing career.

GOOD LUCK PAT!!!! and the best to you in the future

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amen, it was great to see Pat get the last home TD of the year.  The only way Saturday would have been better was if PJ would have been in the victory formation taking a knee.

Vaya con dios Pat.

The best thing I heard during this bowl was simply this....

THere was a cheer going on Gro---Theeee, Gro---Theeee, Gro---Theeee

then Matt got hurt

The stands then started cheering, in unison, PJ's name.

That was classy. It made up for that  ******** BOOING done by "people" earlier in the season when he replaced MG

that cheer was being done while he was on the ground after getting hurt.  it seemed very eerie the way it was being done, but you gotta love the julmiste cheers, i'm sure he appreciated it, and he deserved it.

I agree and wish Pat the best in life!  You have had nothing but what is best for the team and that is the heart of a true team player!!!!

yeah as much as it sucked that grothe got injured and didnt get to play the bowl game that he was so instrumental in getting the team to, it was still good that PJ got to play a lot during it, good way for a senior to go out, mad respect for the guy

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
