He isn't confused.  When they copy/paste the line from the yahoo site it doesn't paste properly.  Look at the site, the Bulls are definitely +3.5 against ECU.  HOWEVER... the yahoo site is just compiling a listing of different sports books line.  The only line they have listed is Pinnacle Sports.  When you go to the Pinnacle Sports site (linked below) you can see that the line is actually Bulls - 3.5.

USF has NEVER won a Bowl game and its only in its second ever Bowl and you dont think is as meaningful for the Bulls as for ECU.

Sorry I dont buy that USF NEEDS to win this game badly, so it can build on for the future, a loss to a CUSA team in this Bowl will NOT help USF in the recruits and media

I LOVE when people COMPLAIN about a line being "disrespectful". That's not what a line is! A line is set with the purpose of getting money on BOTH sides.

USF is a 3 1/2 point favorite.  That is the line.  We are 10-2 against the spread this year and Vegas has taken notice.  That's probably why the line is so low.  The "experts" are following us closely.  We were also 8-3 ATS last year.

ECU has a long history of beating the spread...That doesnt mean squat.  Its wins on the field that count...and thats been a mixed bag.
