ok, i wasn't basing it on anything official, just knew it was in the 20's not 40's.

Thinking of a different team then. I was working durig the cuse game and thought I heard 42-0 in the recap.

Maybe you were thinking of last year's Rutgers game .... although a lot of those points were scored by the D, I believe.... and it wasn't a shutout.

Chipper is just showing that he respects Grothe as a great QB. It was not right to wish injury on a player though just to give Syracuse a better chance. Even if it was TIC, some comments should never be made in these crazy days. For instance, what if I were to say a TIC comment like USF fans better get practicing on beating up Syracuse fans??? That would not be cool either because it may provoke some fool to actually do that. I just hope for Chipper that Grothe does not get hurt or he will look even more foolish that he has already been.

The comment was made by one fan--not sure how it would incite someone to intentional injury your QB?  

If Grothe gets hurt--Chip would not look more foolish

You guys are reading way too much into this and making a mountain out of a mole hill.  This is not exactly locker room material.  Of course reading some of your fans on this board the game will be over in the 1st quarter regardless who plays QB.

Yes, and you should never write fiction or satire either..."just the facts mam". I mean what if you said "eat **** and die" and the guy really eats some and dies. Now, wouldnt you feel bad?

The guy was saying he wanted Grothe's ankle twisted, I think it definitely deserved a response. As for the "dying" comment, it was obvious that he was exaggerating whereas the ankle bit was serious....come on, didn’t we all go to college, what ever happened to reading comprehension?
