One goal I have heard for homecoming this year is to get 50,000 people to the game. Is this a realistic goal?

I think its is very possible if marketed right and USF wins its next two.

I voted yes, but I don't believe it.  No way in hell.  Please let me be wrong.  If we're 6-2 it'd be a closer possibility.

At 6-2 ... "possible" ... but not likely to have that big of a jump.

Go BULLS !!!

If they can market it right with us being 6 -2, then I think it is very possible.

I wish I could vote yes... but it is a noon game.  We have NEVER had 50,000 for a noon game, right?

Students dont normally turn out for noon games and, in fact, most ticket holders dont either.

I think a lot will rely on marketing... which god knows what they will do... if anything!

I know the attedance said 30,000 last night, but the stadium looked barely better than McNeese and FIU. The student section didn't look as full as Rutgers either.

I think 35,000 is more realistic number.

We've never had 50,000 for ANY game - Noon or otherwise.

You can bet the students will be out because it's Homecoming... but the problem will be the casual fan... Noon games just don't draw well.

I would expect to have around 35,000... probably no more.

50,000 will be tough, but I think at the very least 40,000. But, I'm optimistic.

We couldn't draw 40,000 on a Saturday night against #9 and conference opponent UL.  "Homecoming" means maybe an additional 1,000 people over what we would normally draw for a decent opponent at noon.  Crap, I was bringing some friends that would have been to their first game but now noon has lost the 4 of them as they have to coach/attend noon soccer games.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
