Homecoming Attendance

We couldn't draw 40,000 on a Saturday night against #9 and conference opponent UL.  "Homecoming" means maybe an additional 1,000 people over what we would normally draw for a decent opponent at noon.  Crap, I was bringing some friends that would have been to their first game but now noon has lost the 4 of them as they have to coach/attend noon soccer games.

noon games are killer (esp for the band!), I don't know why they would do it for homecoming... is it on TV?

i think it is the big east game of the week, which is why we are playing at noon

Theres a facebook group called, "50,000 for the USF Homecoming game".  So I think students are definitely doing their part for this.  I think we'll have a decent crowd of 38K.

35K for a noon game would be great

usf game is not an event yet and that is what tampa (casual fan) goes out to see.

so if you start at 7 pm people can do their sat stuff and come to the game.

the game is not yet an event, so that even some real fans will not give up their sat  for a  noon game, IMO

USF has had 9 Homecoming games with a high of 45,274 for #12W. Virginia to a low of 27,307 for D-II New Haven in USF's second year. I'll go with 33,337.2 for the average of all 9 games.

If we have what we had for the UCONN game, I'd be impressed. This poll shouldve been 40,000 instead of 50,000.

Afternoon games are tough, for whatever reason. Funny how 65,000 people have NO problem with day games on SUNDAY....

Unless they are giving away tickets with pancakes and bacon, I don't think so.   I don't think we would draw that even if the Primanti Brothers were making sandwhiches for the Pitt folks.
