The only problem our punters are having now is distance. Every one of the botched kicks has come after a horrible snap. Fix the longsnapper and you'll fix the punter. Give the kid a break, if he hits the kick after that snap and everything else, he's a hero. No one knew it was going to go for a TD. Let's not forget how he walked into the McNeese game and handled a couple horrible snaps with a level head...not bad for his first college game.

Anyone could see that that attempt at a kick was going to end badly and as to the distance I already mentioned that he did not look much better in pregame warm -ups.

yea our kicking is bad, both punts and fgs.  we are young at those positions so its probably a lot of nerves.  they will settle down and do good.  the numbers this kid put up in high school were crazy.  he has the leg. just need to work on his head

Doesn't CJL coach the special teams?  Maybe he needs to delegate that to xomeone else.  Our kicking game has been horrible excpet for Benzer's field goal

In warmups, he either kicks it 15 yds off the side of his foot or 45 yd boomers. And it's pretty much random.

In other words, hes a freshman. Whatdya expect?
