I thought FIU did a good job stopping the run and their QB made some big plays, as did #1.

Our problems lie in special teams (we gave FIU their 3rd TD with those boneheaded penalties) abd the lack of a running game (we need #5 back next week).

Most of our mistakes are correctible, it's just a case of when we turn it around.

First, the FIU defense played well and with intensity. Then we learned that Walt Smith et al are not the short-term answer at RB. We continue to commit the stupidest penalties in America (a blocking penalty at the FIU 5 on the first Randolph return???!!!)

Second, it was not a well-called game on our side and Strock took us to school over and over.

We did find some more gems tonight: Taurus Johnson, George Selvie, Louis Gachette.

Not exactly a great night in USF football history.  FIU was ranked #117 in Division 1A before tonight.  #117??

Yes its a win, but I think its an embarassment.  Does anyone here remember Army??  We were 2 minutes away from that  happening again.

or do you think we get something from this???  So that we don't take anything for granted against other teams, or are we just that weak and got exposed?  Or FIU just that talented?  or combo of all or some of  these things.  Or is it the players that we are missing from suspensions?

i took away from first two games that usf isnt very good

and usf coaches havent corre3cted problems of the past

we have a good young qb coached by morons that dont know how to use him

Nope, it's not just as importantly. Winning is more important than anything ...

He offered him a scholarship.  His parents moved to Texas so he transferred.

No explanation about a punter.

I heard that he cjl wouldn't give him, Kyle Bronson,  a scholarship that's why he left. That was on one of the web sites.

I was at the game, what did Gachette do? Also, don't forget Randolph, that guy could be on my 4x100M team any day....

I don't think Gachette had one big play, but when he got out on the field the tone in the secondary changed.  It was that point when we finally started being able to shut #1 down.

I like Gachette.  He's a spark plug back there.
