Are there any decent replacements still available?  If there are who are they?  I would like to see Smith gone, but I don't know who we would replace him with.  Are any of the Miami guys still available?  I would be very surprised if Smith was fired.

Aww cmon it can't be THAT hard.

Look up div 1-a teams that aren't in BCS conferences and see which ones have potent offenses, preferrably not spread offenses.

Offer those offensive coaches to interview.

OR:

Find a QB coach that has been developing strong college QBs on a consistent basis, working under a good OC.  Offer him OC as a promotion/payraise.  A good example would be the QB coach that taught Ryan Dinwiddie or maybe the guy at vanderbilt (if he has a good track record other than cutler).  Just examples.  Once you've got a list of those compiled, you see who's interested, evaluate them, and get the best value.

No I think he went to Webber College just south of Lake Wales (polk county) home town.

Won't happen.  Installing Hill as the starter now was to put the blame squarely on PJ and afford the OC some time.

How many coaches has Coach Leavitt fired in nine years? The answer: nobody. As a matter of fact, he and Mike Canales (former OC '96-'00) did not get along at all. Even then, Leavitt didn't get rid of or demote him. So what makes you all think Leavitt will fire Smith, whom he gets along with? I could be wrong, but the likelihood of Leavitt getting rid of Smith is slim to none. The only way I see Smith leaving is for a head coaching job elsewhere or an oc job at another BCS school.

if smith has a repeat performance

leavitt will be asked to leave(they would not fire him out of respect for all he has done)

if usf's offense is same old same old,the season ticket holders will revolt

bouncer- see we can find common ground and joey was acting like a woman

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

    Michael Kelly
