Might be wishful thinking, but I think if we lose to FAU in the final we have a shot at an at-large bid.   Might depend on how many upsets there are in the conference tourneys

Another reason we need out of this ****** conference.

I am sure we are working hard on it by winning and hiring the best coaches ever.

Couldn't agree more. Football should have been started 20 years earlier than it was ....

Losing to Tulsa and likely whiffing on at-large big might just be the fire the team needs to fuel them for a run in the AAC. Hoping the guys take advantage of the double bye to tighten up in practice this week.

The goal didn't change. Beat the games on your schedule and win the tournament. One loss isn't going to determine if we  win the tournament if we make the tournament or not. Winning solves everything. Win the tournament and control our fate.

I’m going to predict that the two outcomes for USF are:

#1 Win AAC Tournament and head as #12 seed to NCAA

or

Lose in AAC semis or finals of AAC Tournament and head for NIT with first round vs UCF in Orlando

Indiana State lost to Drake last night in the Missouri Valley conference championship game.   That's the kind of upset we don't want although Drake has a pretty good NET ranking itself and both could have been headed to the tourney either way.

Right now the focus is on winning the AAC Tournament. USF can do that as long as they play their A game. They have the coaching to do it. Go Bulls!!

I’m firmly against our fanbases’ culture of pooping where we sleep like that.  The AAC is an underrated conference in basketball, and would be a three big league this year if they had collectively done a better job with ooc scheduling.  The NET would be 15 spots higher for almost everyone in the conference.  More importantly it’s still the best football conference available to us right now and it needs to stay that way.  There is nothing to be gained by degrading it when it’s already in a vulnerable state after just getting raided.  The mwc is strengthening with former p5’s joining them and they have a basketball advantage, somehow.
