Any word on if an extension has been offered to CAAR?

I would hope we have made an offer at this point. Trying to keep him is a must. Not sure he would accept an extension, but if an offer has not been made that is just crazy. Offer a ton of money and raise that buyout. Yesterday. Give him 2 mil a year if you have to.

FWIW some think that hiding his car keys or offering him free Publix subs for life might be more effective ways to keep him.

That is a mistake. Offer it today, before other offers come in.

Do it now. Or we will be back to being mediocre next year after he leaves us in the off season. If you think he won’t leave for more money you’re just a fool. Anyone here will leave their current jobs if you get over 2-3X your current salary. And if you don’t, once again you’re a fool.

at the very least make an attractive offer and put the ball in his court. I suspect he will have offers coming his way very soon.

We all know that Golesh likes Portillos.  WTF with these options.

When the season is over you absolutely do something…. There is no need now and I don’t see CAAR as even wanting to mess with that **** at this point.

Make him the highest paid coach in the AAC.  Double, triple , quadruple what he gets now. If we can pay 300 million plus for an OCS ( money well spent) we can spent money on Rahim and Golesh to be here long term, if that's what they want.  In the end we don't want to lose them because we get outbid by a midlevel ACC or Big  12 team. Give them something that is competitive with what they would get in the ACC and Big 12.

It will be a an investment as important as top grade facilities. Perhaps even more important since I believe success on the field will help get us in a Power 4 conference, and even if we don't it will be a heck of a lot of fun for the fanbase.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
