Why I expect us to be ranked this week in the Top 25...

The only ranking that matters is when the tournament is over. Look at the year our baseball team reached the Super Regional. We weren’t sniffing a Top-25 ranking all year, but we were in that final poll. Hoops is the same.

But a top 25 ranking would be our first ever hence it will be extra special. Furthermore, if we are ranked in the top 25 our chances of getting an at large NCAAT spot would dramatically increase. When 68 teams make it could they really keep out a top 25 team?

Exactly! Top 25 gets better exposure for USF. I remember how excited I was when USF women’s got ranked in the top 25. ESPN kept scrolling USF’s name & rankings across many sports bars across the nation

I can’t even pretend to be mad. People thought we were the 9th best aac team and now the coaches think we are the 29th best in the country. That’s not so bad.

Surprised SMU isn’t getting any love. That game next Sunday is shaping up to be just as big as yesterday’s game. I believe they’ve won six straight and they play at FAU before coming to see us. If they win that game - and we beat UTSA - Sunday’s matchup could actually be the biggest game we’ll play.
