If a 15-5 Virginia, 3rd in the ACC, isn’t getting Top 25 votes, a 12-5 South Florida of the lowly AAC isn’t even close.    Virginia has wins over Florida (Votes), then-ranked #14 Texas A&M.

It does make the NET rankings look a little silly to see us so far behind Memphis and North Texas and slightly behind Charlotte at this point

According to CBSSports, Memphis is 4-0 against Top 25.

Oh I get it.  They have 2 Quad 1 wins and we haven't even played a Quad 1 game as of now.   Just that we beat them head to head recently.

Have games coming up against SMU and FAU.  Assuming we win today; win those and we will see a significant rise in our NET rankings.

These NET ranking take into account our early season performance. If it was a ranking based on only our AAC play we would be much higher. The good news is when it comes down to regular rankings ( Ap, Coaches) how one perform lately is more important as to how one performs early.

Again, unless we get a token vote at #25 from a coach in the conference, I have a feeling you are going to be disappointed.

Well, I will eat my crow. We received 7 points in the AP poll and 5 points in the Coaches poll.
