Who would win?

Figured this would be a good off season topic.

Based solely on my opinion I feel that the 2016 offense was USF's best and the 2009 defense was our best.

Who would win if they went up against one another?

I would go with the 2009 defense. It had quite a bit of nfl talent on it. Can't see this offensive line surving the defense attacking .

When you say THIS line, you mean the 2016 offense?

Yes. Norman was the only guy on the line with nfl talent. The 2009 defense had nfl talent all over and the front 7 was no joke. The backfield was loaded too.

Good question John. I went with defense as well, but do think the offense will best the defense over a full game a few times.

Knee jerk reaction 2009 by a lot.

However, perhaps with the new softer approach and rules, 2009 team would have multiple ejections and penalties due to the absolute destruction and hurt invoked to the other team.

So it could be closer.

2016 offense did have some NFL talent also...I think it's close.

Taking the 16 Offense and 09 defense...that would be a fun team to watch.
